The Armco Employees Independent Federation, Inc. is one of the largest independent labor unions in the United States.  Our Union represents over 3100 of the best steel workers in the world.  Located in Middletown, Ohio, we represent the production, maintenance, service workers and office workers at AK Steel Middletown Works (formerly Armco Steel Co., L.P. Middletown Works).

Our members at AK Steel (an integrated carbon and stainless steel company) produce the best quality steel, primarily for the automotive and appliance industry.  

As an independent labor union since 1943, we continue to focus on providing through the collective bargaining process a high standard of living for our members, both in economic terms and in the quality of work life. 

Our current labor agreement with AK Steel extends through February 28, 2006.
